WHEN HEIGHT IS STILL HOME, BUT GETTING DOWN CHANGES
When people first build a wall for a young or active cat, they rarely imagine the day when that cat may struggle to come down.
The desire for height does not disappear with age. High beds and lookouts remain familiar, secure territory. What changes is the return journey. Descending requires controlled braking, confident footing and comfortable landings.
After becoming stranded several times, an elderly cat may stop visiting a favourite high destination altogether. The place has not lost its appeal. The journey home has become too uncertain.
ADD THE ASSISTED DESCENT ROUTE WHEN IT IS NEEDED
Because the CATTORA wall can be reconfigured, an Assisted Descent Route can be introduced when your cat’s needs begin to change.
Linked ramps and secure turning platforms create a continuous route from the highest tier to floor level. A 100 mm passageway behind the ramps preserves movement between both sides of the wall, so the descent system does not divide or restrict the territory.
Your cat can continue climbing, exploring, grooming and sleeping in its favourite high places, knowing there is always a clear and comfortable way home.
