A CATTORA Wall should be planned around both your home and the cats who will use it. Suitable wall construction, secure installation and an accessible arrangement are essential.

BEFORE YOU INSTALL

Measure the available wall width and height. Note doors, windows, sockets, furniture and other obstructions, and provide photographs during your consultation.

Identify the wall construction before choosing fixings. If you are unsure about the wall or its ability to support the installation, arrange an assessment by a suitably qualified installer.

Check for concealed electrical cables and plumbing before drilling.

PERMISSION TO INSTALL

If you rent your home or need approval to alter the wall, obtain the required permission before installation. CATTORA requires wall fixings, and you may need to make good the fixing points if the system is removed.

INSTALLATION RESPONSIBILITY

Installation is not included in the wall price. Arrange a suitable installer if you do not have the skills or equipment to complete the work correctly.

Follow the final installation instructions and use fixings suitable for the wall construction and specified loads. Keep cats away from the installation area until the work is complete and all components have been checked.

PLAN ACCESSIBLE ROUTES

Arrange pathways and destinations around your cats’ size, age and mobility. Provide a clear way to reach and leave each bed, lookout and grooming station.

Avoid layouts that require a cat to make a difficult jump to enter or leave a resting place. Keep access points clear of nearby accessories and room obstacles.

CHECK BEFORE USE

Check that the wall panels and accessories are correctly seated and secured according to the product-specific instructions.

Do not allow use if a component is loose, damaged or incorrectly fitted. Keep packaging and loose installation parts away from cats and children.

INTRODUCE YOUR CATS GRADUALLY

Allow your cats to explore at their own pace. Do not place a reluctant cat on a high accessory or encourage a jump it is uncomfortable making.

Supervise early use and watch how each cat moves between accessories. Adjust the arrangement if a transition appears difficult or a destination is awkward to enter or leave.

AFTER REARRANGING ACCESSORIES

Keep cats clear while moving components. Check each accessory is correctly reseated, and review the surrounding route before allowing access again.

Moving a destination can change how a cat approaches it, even when the main pathways stay in place. Supervise your cats as they explore the revised arrangement.

REGULAR CHECKS AND CARE

Check the wall, mounting points and accessories regularly, and after moving or rearranging components. Look for movement, cracks, wear or damage, including worn sisal and loose connections.

IF SOMETHING IS LOOSE OR DAMAGED

Stop your cats from accessing the affected area. Removing an accessory may leave a gap in a route, so check the surrounding layout as well.
