Terms and conditions
Terms of Sale
Last updated: 26 July 2026
1. Who we are
Cattora is a brand of Ascension Hive Inc., a corporation registered in the State of Florida, United States (document number P26000025221), with its registered address at 7901 4th St N, Ste 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Ascension Hive Inc. trading as Cattora. "You" means the person placing the order.
You can reach us at info@cattora.com.
2. These terms
These Terms of Sale apply to every order placed through cattora.com. By placing an order you confirm that you accept them, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.
Please read section 6 carefully. Most of what we make is built to your commission and cannot be resold, which affects your right to cancel and return.
3. Our products
Every Cattora piece is described on its product page. Photographs and drawings are intended to show the character of a piece accurately, but wood grain, paint finish, hand-sculpted detail and colour reproduction on your screen will vary. Small variations are a consequence of hand-finishing and are not defects.
Dimensions given are nominal. Where a piece is built to your specification, the finished dimensions are those confirmed in the portrait you approve under section 5.
4. Orders, prices and payment
Placing an order through the website is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we send you an order confirmation by email.
We may decline an order — including after confirmation, in which case we refund you in full — if the piece is unavailable, if there has been a pricing or description error, if we cannot verify your payment or delivery details, or if we cannot deliver to your address.
Prices are in US dollars and include delivery to the address you give us. There is nothing further to pay at checkout, and no separate freight charge. Prices exclude any import duty, tax or customs charge levied outside the United States, which is your responsibility.
Payment is taken in full at the time you place your order. We take payment upfront because your piece is built for you from that point onwards, and the materials are committed to it.
5. How a commission is built
Most Cattora pieces are made to order. Where that is the case, the process is:
- Questionnaire. Within one business day of your order we send you a short questionnaire about your home and your cats.
- The portrait. We design your piece and send you a drawing of it. Nothing is built until you approve that drawing.
- Building. Once you approve the portrait, your piece is made.
- The photograph. We photograph the finished piece and send it to you. Nothing ships until you approve that photograph.
If you ask for changes at the portrait stage, we will make them within the scope of the piece you ordered. Changes that alter the size, specification or price of the piece may require a revised quotation, and we will tell you before proceeding.
If we do not hear from you at the portrait or photograph stage, we will follow up. If we have had no response for 60 days, we may treat the order as cancelled under section 6 and refund you less any costs already incurred.
6. Cancellation, changes and returns
Before you approve the portrait
You may cancel at any time before you approve the portrait, for any reason, and we will refund you in full. Write to info@cattora.com. Nothing has been built at that point and there is no cost to you.
After you approve the portrait
Once you approve the portrait, we begin building a piece that exists only for you and that we cannot resell. From that point the order cannot be cancelled and the piece cannot be returned or refunded, except where it is faulty, damaged or not as described.
This does not affect your legal rights in respect of faulty goods.
Stock items
Some smaller items are held in stock rather than made to order. Those are marked as such on their product page and may be returned within 30 days of delivery, unused and in their original packaging, for a full refund of the purchase price. Return shipping is at your cost unless the item is faulty. Litter, food and other consumables cannot be returned once opened.
If we cannot deliver on time
If we cannot deliver within the period stated at the time of your order and cannot agree a revised date with you, you may cancel and receive a full refund.
7. Delivery
We aim to deliver commissioned pieces within eight to twelve weeks of your approval of the portrait. Stock items usually ship within five business days.
These are estimates made in good faith. Hand-built work occasionally takes longer. We will keep you informed and will tell you promptly if a date moves.
Larger pieces ship by freight rather than parcel carrier. The carrier will contact you to arrange a delivery window, which is why we ask for a telephone number at checkout. Delivery is to the ground-floor threshold of your address unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. It is your responsibility to ensure the piece can reach the room it is intended for — please check doorways, stairwells, lifts and ceiling height before you approve the portrait. We can advise on dimensions at any point.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title passes when we have received payment in full.
8. Damage in transit and faults
Please inspect your delivery on arrival. If a piece arrives damaged, tell us within seven days of delivery, with photographs of the damage and the packaging. We will repair or replace it, or refund you, at no cost to you.
We warrant that every piece will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for twelve months from delivery. If a defect appears within that period, we will repair or replace the piece, or refund you, at our option. This warranty does not cover normal wear, damage from misuse or accident, damage caused by a cat in a manner the piece was not designed for, or alterations made after delivery.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the law of your state that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Safety and installation
Wall-mounted pieces must be fixed to a structurally sound wall using the fixings supplied and following our instructions. Freestanding trees are supplied with ballast plates that must be fitted into the base as instructed before the piece is used. Do not use any piece until it has been installed and, where applicable, ballasted as directed.
We are not responsible for injury, damage or loss arising from installation that does not follow our instructions, from fixing a piece to an unsuitable surface, or from use of a piece without its ballast fitted.
Please supervise cats during the first days of use and check fixings periodically.
10. Our liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, or for loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity.
Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
11. Intellectual property
The Cattora name, the designs of our pieces, our photographs and our written material belong to Ascension Hive Inc. Buying a piece gives you ownership of that piece, not of the design. You may photograph and share images of your Cattora in your own home freely. You may not reproduce, manufacture or commission copies of our designs.
12. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including supply failures, extreme weather, fire, flood, industrial action, war, civil unrest, epidemic, or the acts of any government or carrier. If such an event occurs we will contact you as soon as possible, and if the delay is substantial you may cancel and receive a full refund of anything paid for undelivered goods.
13. Your information
We use the information you give us to fulfil your order, to design your piece, and to contact you about it. We do not sell your data. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we handle it.
14. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
If we do not insist that you do something you are required to do under these terms, or delay in enforcing them, that does not mean we have given up our rights.
We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it.
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Nothing in this clause deprives you of the protection of any consumer law of the state in which you live that applies regardless of choice of law.
